Illustration Friday - Zodiac

I submitted this to Illustration Friday. The theme this week is Zodiac. This was from an assignment for the premier issue (January, 2002) of ASKMagazine. The 3-page article was entitled 'Mapping Time' which spoke about cultures that used the moon to tell time. The Jewish culture was used as an example. My original art had Hebrew letters handcut around the outer ring and spaces in the center for text.
