I’ve been an illustrator since 1997, working in sculpted paper. I've always been crafty (in the good sense) but after 20 years of paper cuts and sticky fingers, I'm ready for something different. Many art supplies have crossed my desk, but lately, the iPad has dominated my workflow. When I look at art, I’m moved by evocative colors and rich textures. I swoon over expressive line and quirky hand lettering. These are things I strive for in my work.
Clients include Jillson & Roberts, Consumer Reports, Scholastic, Random House, Grosset & Dunlap, Staples, Sleeping Bear Press, and the Cricket Media Group. I am a retired Co-Regional Advisor for the New England chapter of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI), previously serving as a Co-Illustrator Coordinator since 2012.
A life-long resident of the beautiful granite state (that's New Hampshire for the rest of you), I enjoy the lakes and mountains surrounding me. On weekends you may find us cruising the lake in our Amphicar (an amphibious vehicle from the sixties.) Chocolate milk is my comfort food of choice, and - don't judge - I enjoy watching the Real Housewives of Anywhere. I share my life with my husband of 42 years, and my chihuahua, Lily. I have two grown sons that should visit their mother more often. And buy her flowers. Just saying.
